No windows-Artificial Light and Roosting

Hello all. I currently do not have any windows in my coop for sunlight so I’m using a “daylight” CFL lightbulb on a timer from 6am to 5pm.
My question is... What can I do so that the chickens will get on their roosts because it goes from light to pitch black. I know you awesome chicken people have ideas...
I plan to put a window in, just not sure when.

Hello I also have a dim blue nite light for when the regular one shuts off I actually go out to shut birds in and turn mine off about 8 outside is pitch dark BF goes out about 8 am turns the main light on

How about switching the timer so that the light goes on early in the morning instead of late at night?

Do you have a wifi signal at the coop?
Smart bulb....
I have mine come on in the morning 10% brightness then up 10% every minute until full bright. You could program it to go to 90% then down 10% every minute til dark.

I'm curious - without windows, how do you ventilate, and how do they get fresh air?

@bobbi-j Regarding ventilation, I have an air inlet and a whirlybird.
