I totally agree with u there! Our yard was covered with 4-6 inches of solid ice for the last 2 yrs & my house sits on a steep hill with the coop at the bottom! This will be my first winter with chickens...im dreading it! Guess ill be sledding to the coop..:either that or im gonna have to get some ice skates! Lol!

I don't mind opening and closing the coop so much. It is carrying liquid water to 6 flocks 3 times a day through winter that's the killer.
Never again.

I'll have heated auto water this year.
