Hello all. It has been a long week and it is only Tuesday.

We were in McLoud/Shawnee on Saturday. We went and visited DH's grandpa for the holidays. It was fun and we got to do a little Christmas shopping.

Sunday I sold all my birds.

Shhh, pretend you didn't hear that.

I'm having withdrawls.

I still have my Seramas. I don't think anyone could get me to part with them.

I'm taking the kids to town today to pick out gifts for dear old dad. He has to work this afternoon and I'm off. He will be doing the same thing for me later on this week.

I have been wanting to redo my setup since we moved. We just kind of threw it together in a hurry and it needs some work. When the lady showed up to get a few ducks on Sunday, she offered me a really good price for everything and I took it. I figured that it would be easier to work on the coop and pen if I wasn't working around a bunch of birds. I have been discussing getting a new variety of birds in the Spring. I just thought that this would be easiest for me. I will start fresh with the birds that I really want. The only stipulation is that I will not have any more ducks. I have decided that the muddy mess is not for me. I do love them, but I don't wanna deal with the smelly, muddy mess. I would probably break that deal if I could get some mini ducks. They wouldn't need a huge stock tank to be happy. I'm not fond of the bowling pin, aka runner ducks, so they are out. I am still trying to figure out what kind of chickens I want though. I know that I want standard size birds and a variety of egg and feather colors. I won't be getting any roosters, so no eggs to hatch. I will still be hatching Seramas, but that is it.

It is shaping up to be a busy day today.

I have never thought of myself in relation to my birds.
