Hi- brand new to the forum! So I have two olive eggers- who’s eggs, when they first started laying, were a beautiful olive color (let’s say October). Now they are laying brown. Is this even possible?? Please let me in on the chicken secrets. Looking forward to learning from you.

Nope, green layers do not all of sudden start laying brown.
Pretty sure you might have your birds mixed up, can be very hard to tell who is laying what.

There are only white and blue shells.
Brown eggs have brown coating on white shells.
Green eggs have brown coating on blue shells.
The brown coating can be very light or very dark, and can vary day to day.
Then the bloom can add another aspect to the egg color.
Pink/purplish eggs are from the bloom on a brown egg.

Well said, once a chicken lays a specific color thats her color for life... yes the shade can vary but essentially its still the same color she stared laying.
Here's a picture of some of mine.. mostly the same and then there is one that looks almost gray
