His beak looks like it is supposed to look like that. The man who raised him acted very insulted when I asked if he was Ganoi. This bird was a gift from someone who was striving very hard to preserve birds very much like the ones that he had grown up with in his country. This bird can be taken to a public place and set free, and he will follow his owner around. You can just walk up and pick him up. He rides in the front of the truck and just looks out the window like a dog. Very enjoyable to be around.

That beak makes me think he has some hawk in his back ground

It looks like it needs a trim. Any chicken can get that look if they don't wear down the top beak or no one trims it.

they look close but to me there's a lot different between them he looks more on the ganoi side to me is all I'm saying call him want you were told he is or a flightless buzzard lol its your bird

I gave him a trim, he did need it. But looking at where the quick lies, he has a much more hawk-like beak than some of the Asil types.

easier than trimming rabbit teeth for sure! that's a pain in the donkey

Can't wait until this guy is fully grown!! He is 50% Laos and 50% Thai. He took the structure of his dad (import Laos bird) and the color of his mom are grey Thai line.
