Hi all, I'm Jessica, co-owner of MatthewsHomestead with my husband Daniel. We currently have 6 breeds of chickens and a few rabbits; and are soon expanding to ducks and goats as well! (We get our baby ducks today!) Every expansion and addition we create is a unique learning experience for sure. But.... We LOVE our crazy little creatures....children included!

Hi Jessica! That sounds great! I have a few hens and some garden rabbits. I raise the rabbits to help clean my back to eden garden. Please update on your small family farm. We would all love to see photos of some of the animals!

We have "Californian" rabbits... A cross of Himalayan and New Zealand. We breed them for meat but I've been composting poop all year for the garden! That's another project we will soon be starting. I want to fence it in to keep deer out and so I can let the goats loose in there when everything is done. Lol. Once you start, it's always one project after another as new "improvement" ideas pop up. Lol
