Outdoor Roost Ideas

I'm looking for design ideas for adding outdoor roosts. My run is covered and has chain link all around, but I'm not sure if it is structurally sound enough to hand roosts off of the structure itself. I have some logs stacked in the area to give them something to climb, which they love, but I'd like to give them someplace to roost as well. Anyone have any good ideas?

I have branches in my run, but I was thinking if I attached a 4x4 from the rafters to the ground and attached either good size branches or some 2x4 pieces and created an artificial type of tree.

I considered getting a landscape timber and attaching eye hooks to either end, then eye hooks to the rafters on the run and attaching it with rope. I may end up doing this. It might swing a bit when they land. My concern is the weight of the timber plus all the birds that may pile on. I would feel really foolish if my run collapsed!

You could put or rest it on a concrete block and screw it to the rafters that should keep it stable enough.
