I use incubators mainly. Broodies have been difficult since I'm limited on areas I can separate.

They're not terrible, just not the best of layers.

Planning on leg banding the youngsters soon.
Thinking about switching to wing bands eventually.

Part of the reason is I'm battling scaly leg mites, & sometimes the excess crust makes the bands extra tight, needing removal for proper treatment. Sometimes it causes some leg bands to dig into the leg. Had that happen with a JungleFowl hen recently. She's getting round 2 of treatment tomorrow.

Gonna put some leg bands on the boys, as a start, since they're larger then the younger girls. Give the girls more grow out time before leg banding them.

Thinking Less likely Shamo influence, but more likely Kulang Aseel influence.
