I feel like I don't have enough irl people interested in talking chicken- so I wanted to have a farm journal here and talk about my poultry journeys!

My flock isn't that big currently, I have 14 chickens, 7 of which are almost laying age but not quite with the other 7 being laying hens. I hope to expand and maybe even separate the flock into two or three areas for breeding purposes. I currently have 19 Aloha eggs in the incubator which I'm going to post about here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/aloha-chicken-egg-hatch-a-long.1622905/

I like individually naming all my chickens, but we'll see how well I can keep up as the flock continues to grow!

The Seven Adult Hens:
- Calliope the California Grey, my only remaining hen from my initial flock of five hens 4 years ago
- Dorothy the Easter Egger
- Hilda the Blue Ameracauna
- Gwen the Buff Rock
- Doris the Ayam Cerami/Polish cross
- Iris the Ayam Cerami/Polish cross
- Cassie the Ayam Cerami/Polish cross

The Seven Pullets:
- Patience the Delaware
- Temperance the Black Minorca
- Chastity the Olive Egger
- Vesta the Cream Legbar
- Peggy the Gold Star
- Pennifer the New Hampshire Red
- Penelope the Production Red

I'm kinda flaky when it comes to updates/posting, but I'll try to post any fun new updates about my flock and occasionally post pictures (bear with me though, I only have my phone camera rn and it's terrible lol).

What's really exciting to me right now is hatching and raising chicks, I'm still just getting started but I want to try my hand at all sorts of poultry!
