I think if I had (or could have) 15 or 20 chickens, a roo or two would be great. They're beautiful, and I do love their crowing. But because I'm so limited, by time and coop space and DH's patience, I just can't have a boy taking up space. I know, that probably makes me a bad chicken mom, but I can't help that the facts are the facts.

I don't want to give him up, but I think I have to.

No, that does not make you a bad chicken mom! You have to do what you have to do. I've had to sell cockerels that I didn't want to give up, either.
