One of my Black Australorps had pipped about 4/5hrs ago. It’s beak is out of the egg and has never moved in that time. Is it dead?

It may just be sleeping, getting to that first pip is hard work! It's really hard to say though for sure, because sometimes they don't make it past the pip. I would try to be patient and keep an eye on it. Can you see any movement at all? It should still be breathing but that can be hard to see depending on the pip.One of my Black Australorps had pipped about 4/5hrs ago. It’s beak is out of the egg and has never moved in that time.
