Hello!
I've been googling for a long time, but can't seem to find the right answer. We will be installing a small duck pond soon and I want something around it to help keep the ducks from tracking in a lot of dirt. Has anyone ever put pavers or flagstones around their duck pond and planted a low creeping moss in-between them, like Irish Moss? The area I'm looking at would be relatively shady and I'd imagine it would get plenty of water from the ducks splashing. My only concern is if the ducks would root it up or eat it...

Any advice?

Thanks!

My pond has pavers making a gentle staircase with pea gravel and river stones. In another part of my yard I have moss growing between flagstones but my ducks love to pull at it and play with it. In another part I have creeping thyme and although they play with it, it seems to be growing fine. This pic is before I put a chicken wire cover over it and added some pavers in the back.
