Plastic (PVC) garden fence instead of wire?

I was pricing materials for a new coop and noticed plastic garden fence with 1" spacing. It is a 40" width. Has anyone used this? I've used the plastic poultry netting before and been happy with it but those were pens inside a barn, this would be for outside use. Biggest reason I ask it is only about $10 for a 25' roll.
