Those are the first feathers, they will moult. I've had my fair share of young OEGB cockerel chicks.

Cockerels of most breeds don't show distinguishable feathering with 6 weeks. The only chicks I ever had, who showed an early difference, were bantam speckled sussex. The pointed hackle and saddle feathers start to show at about 10-12 weeks within many breeds.
