20 weeks to the day.. The wait is finally over!!!

These were my suprise this morning, I wasn't expecting them until next month. I don't know who laid them - No big fanfare.

Finally! We're getting eggs!!!!

Laid by our smallest chicken, Calliope the lakenvelder at 22 weeks.

We also have a BR, a BO, 2 EEs that are 22 weeks and 5 Marans, a welsummer, and a true ameraucana that are 16 weeks. Cannot wait for more eggies!!!!

This shows the medium off white egg next to a store bought large brown egg, and a quarter for scale:

And here's calliope, people tend to not be too fond of lakenvelders but I really enjoy her, her sweet face is beautiful. I have to admit though she is the loudest chicken I have ever encountered lol
