Yes, that's why it is important to spend time with God in the Word of God. Learning His heart and the Truth.
I have not spent my time getting to know JW, LDS, or any other of those doctrines. I do hear what you're saying about not being alone and caught off guard by them spinning a web of deception.
Yes my true goal would be that one of them actually be led to the truth. But I know how much easier it is to be influenced than it is to influence.
Also note... they NEVER announce "we are JW"! That was my accurate assessment, though.
But you are correct these are people who try to come to my life every month. I have contact with very few people. Why not have my own verses set up to share next time? Instead of just dreading here come those people to knock on my door and spread their (half truths) LIES... BECAUSE they are misled. I already (kindly) don't take their literature and let them know it will just end up in the recycle bin and that I love the Lord. Besides they ARE being used by God as tools for His purpose (just like Satan).
Many will learn much of the Word before they ever have a true understanding. But God will reveal himself!
