I found out today that I'll be driving a friend and his wife to the hospital early in the morning for his heart surgery. His surgery is scheduled for 8am. I'd welcome any prayers, but especially for a safe journey, successful surgery, and peace and comfort for the wife. Thank you all!

My friend ended up not having the heart cath last Friday morning. On top of his heart issues (mostly clogged arteries and leaking valve,) he's also in a later stage of kidney failure so he was a little dehydrated when they took him back and they gave him fluids. I had to wait in the parking garage for almost 8 hours before they got out due to Covid rules. Luckily it wasn't that hot and there was a good breeze blowing through.

There is some good news: at a Dr. visit earlier this year he was told about the leaking valve and that his heart was functioning at 15-20%. At this visit they told him the leak wasn't as bad as they first thought and his heart is also functioning better than they thought. Different Dr. was to call and schedule open heart surgery for sometime in next 1-2 weeks. Also, we really didn't have any traffic trouble either. Thanks to the Lord for getting us there and back safely and to anyone else who prayed for us. My friend could still use your prayers to stay healthy enough to be able to have the surgery and that it be successful. Thanks again!
