Here we have a lot of them (radar in combination with cameras) . And we have temporary setups too. And some systems that measure average speed between to points several miles apart.
It’s forbidden to use detectors. If the police catches you with a radar detector you get a huge fine. But some do, because the chance to get cought is relatively small.

Here while driving and using Google Maps...it (Google maps) shows you were the cops are sitting on the freeways trying to catch speeders. You can tell when driving on the freeway who's using Google maps at the moment because they all slowed down at the same time.
