Hi all.
I was looking at Google images today at pictures of barbu d'Anver hens.
I breed and show barbu D'Anvers and I was just looking through pictures.
I saw a picture of one of my barbu d'Anver hens that I got professionally potographed with
The special background.
I have a website and this picture is in it so I assumed the link would take me to my website
I clicked into the picture and it took me to a link of another website
They were using the picture of my barbu d'Anver hen on their website.
Should I email them and ask them to stop using it?
Here is the picture of my barbu d'Anver that they are using.

As I understand it, the photographer you hired owns the copyright. I would first contact your photographer about that. Perhaps they authorized use of photo.
Nice looking chicken!

Beautiful hen. If someone used the photographer's copy righted photo without his consent, I am sure, he would want to know about it.

I would venture to suggest that if you hired someone to take the photographs, you are the owner of the said product. I act as a consultant for various international agencies, and thats the way it is. I may write something, but those hiring me to do so have ownership of the material. Based on my experience, that photograph belongs to you - just sharing my thoughts.

Did you have a written agreement with the photographer as to which of you owns the rights to the picture? I see you're in Ireland, I don't know the rules over there.

Beautiful girl you have there and it is a nice picture.

Hi there
Thank you all for the replys.
We don't sign a form on who owns the picture over here.
It is just when you pay for the picture you own it
(I asked the photographer)
What should I do from here?
Should I let the person use the photo?
Thank you
Fionn.

Think I'd contact them and inform them that its your property, and if they wish to use it, then they need to include full accreditations.
