I bought some quinoa to prepare for myself. Made a couple of recipes and just didn't like it and now have some taking up space in my pantry. Can I feed it as is, raw from the box to my chickens? I did a search but never found the answer as to whether it needs to be cooked or not. I tried sprouting it but it just didn't sprout.
Would love to just put it in the run and let them have at it.
My chicks are 21 weeks old and about to start laying, soon I hope :)

You can feed it raw to your chickens. You might want to rinse it well first to rid the saponin seed coating, which makes it bitter and less palatable to birds.
