These babies are missing lots of feathers and we don’t know their age. We do know they were purchased from Tractor Supply . 3 are BO and 3 look like Eggers. Any suggestions on their age and why they are missing feathers? The previous owner couldn’t take care of them

Hi there, if I had to guess I would say that they are about 7-8 weeks old since they have lost nearly all but not quite 100% of their baby fluff. As far as their feathers, they look like completely normal birds in their "awkward teenager" phase, which can make them appear as if they are missing feathers, but is just the result of rapid growth. Are there bare patches not visible in the photos?

to me they look like healthy birds. I would guess they are about about 4-5 weeks.
some feather faster than others, and temperature makes a difference.

Here are my chicks at 4wks..pretty scraggly. I had then weaned off heat at that time and they filled in pretty quick by 5 weeks. Here’s my EE (Karen) today at 7.5 wks.

give them another week.

Yes, they have a lot of bare spot , especially under their wings? They seem very happy and comfortable .
