Well, I did it again.. stopped to pick up something for the gang on side of the road ... I’m gonna paint it and set it on cinder blocks for another perching area

Afternoon, Bob. Still pitch black outside but @ least we are in double figures this morning. Thought it was getting cold enough for the girls to all squish up together when roosting but they are spreading out more than ever. Have noticed they are anxious to get into the sunshine first thing but I think they have Buckley's this morning. It is supposed to be overcast again. Can't tell yet.

Well, it's light but there isn't a patch of sun anywhere! The Australorps don't like this weather either. They & Lottie were the only girls not up when I went to say Good Morning. Everyone else thought I should open the gate but someone [no idea who] has dug a hole under the fence & I keep finding escapees so until I fill it later this morning they are confined to barracks.

I've been noticing some digging lately too, but from the outside trying to get in. So glad the coop has a strong mesh floor because I reckon a fox has found my birds.
