Ribh's D'Coopage

It's all good people. She got many more months than expected & enjoyed her time of being able to rejoin the tribe & chicken. She was never quite right after her paralysis. Last time she wanted to live so I fought for her & with her. This time she didn't. šŸ˜ž I don't know what the difference was.
I am sad to read of her passing. I was always rooting for her after her last illness.
You know I love those Vorwerks, but I have to say, after all your experiences with them, I probably wouldnā€™t get any.

I think a lot of the problem is poor genetics. Of my 2 remaining birds one has become quite docile. She's a sometimes outside rooster whom I have to escort to bed but she obediently hops on my hand when properly nudged & allows herself to be carried to the inside roost. I never thought that would happen. Don't give up on them if you like them. In a different flock/tribe they would probably fit in wonderfully.

A very late caturday submission
This cutie began showing up a few nights ago. Despite not really wanting another cat, we are trying hard to win her (?) favor as she has a collar caught around her middle and arm :( hoping to get lucky and help her and find her people.

Aww poor little darling.

Did I say looking like a leghorn was a problem? šŸ˜
I thought about you yesterday Bob. We were visiting my in-laws, took FIL for a walk (well a roll, he's in a wheelchair) and were watching some people play pickleball. A lady came up to watch for a bit, she had her 1.5 Y/O MCC in a cat stroller. Cat seemed very happy to be outside (though effectively inside) watching the world. She said the cat will sleep in the stroller in the house.

Mrs BY Bob wanted to get a harness and walk Ɖowyn around the neighborhood. She would have loved the stroller idea. I have ruled against that as I don't want her getting used to the world outside the fence.

We had a bit of a situation this past weekend. We had to take my granddaughter Eve back home and the tribe was on their own in the complex for 48 hours.

In the hustle and bustle of getting out the door with Eve we forgot Ɖowyn was outside.

I did not discover so until I saw her in the background of one of the coop cams Saturday night as I was checking in on Gucci roosting. Check this out!

Before everyone worries, she has a water dish outside and can drink from the pool in a pinch.

I called my brother and he ran over and let her into the house so no damage was done. The impressive thing was ~36 hours outside alone and she did not leave the yard.

@bruceha2000 I thought of you when this happened. A less than 3 lb pullet ran off my 20+ lb cat today.

Do not doubt Glynda's moxie. She started stalking Ɖowyn and in this very rough video, she chases Ɖowyn off. At least that's what she will tell you. Right before the video starts, Glynda had attacked Ɖowyn's bum. That is why Ɖowyn is turned facing her.

That Glynda is one tough lady to take on a 20+ lb cat!
