RIR hen leg and foot swolen

What can I do to help the swelling go down? She is not using the leg but is still hanging out with the flock pretty well. I don't detect any breaks or external injuries... what could cause this?

Possibly bumblefoot ? Check her feet ... there is a thread above, but if you search for it you'll find tons on it. There is also a non-invasive treatment tricide Neo - do a search for that as well and you'll find the directions.

If it is bumblefoot and it's gone into her leg, it may be hard to treat. Dawg53 just helped someone who had a severe case, but it was too late and the hen didn't make it.
