Could someone tell me if my rooster has any potential for being a show bird? He is around 9 weeks old.

Thanks

Very tough to tell anything about show quality at 9 weeks. Apart from obvious defects. If you want show quality condition ( different from show quality breed type) however, you need both to win , then you need to start feeding him a special ration now. In fact before now. What breed is he?

He is a brown leghorn. We've had chickens for a while now but I know nothing about showing them. He's just so handsome I was curious;)

Thanks

Since the bird is hatchery stock, it would seem highly unlikely.

BTW, a rooster is generic term that doesn't give the reader a sense of the age of the male. A cockerel is a male under a year old and a cockbird is a male over a year old.

If you wish to consider exhibiting poultry, I'd recommend working with a quality breeder and having a mentor to help you along as begin a life long learning of the science and art that is breeding. Best regards on your possible new endeavor.
