Has anyone had Sandhills buckeyes? Are they typical hatchery quality or closer to show quality? We're considering getting back into buckeyes maybe next year or so and I figured it couldn't hurt to look and see what's out there for sourcing stock. We raised them mostly because the extra roos were good eating, so not necessarily looking for show quality but definitely need something more typey than most hatcheries have.

Are you talking about Sandhill cranes or something called Buckeye? I tried to find them to see what I could find for you and can't find Sandhill Buckeyes at all.

Oh, I get it now. It's about a hatchery. https://www.sandhillpreservation.com/

We have sandhill cranes all over the place here so was thinking some people actually raise those? No, I just wasn't figuring it out at first. If you search BYC, there's some very old threads about them, and in my looking it seems they were regarded well.
