Just thought I’d make a little thread on my WIP serama breeding shed. I used to raise meat birds in it, but those were too expensive in the long run. The pen was made by putting a wall and door onto part of our goat shed, thanks to my dad and grandpa. It’s been a couple years since it’s been worked on, though, and it’s not very safe. Right now I’m in the process of removing old nails and wire.

Hello. I also raise serama and, I too, am in the middle of reconstruction; not an easy feat when it all has to be done with materials I have on hand. I'll post a picture when I can.

You have, what looks like, a good solid roof/rafters and solid uprights. The rest will come in time/ patience, and imagination.
Good luck!! Below are a few pictures of my serama.

"Good" weather would be more of a help; It's been cold and rainy for days. Less predators would be helpful too. Last time I worked on the coop I let the serama out into the yard. Bad idea, a hawk made off with one of the frizzled hens. That hurt, I've only ten left. Thankfully two hens will be hatching chicks soon.

On second thought I could use that "good luck". :fl

I’m lucky the weather hasn’t been too bad lately. It’s pretty muddy through.
