Sex link, sapphire gem, or something else?

This little girl is 11 weeks old today. She was sold as a sapphire gem chick from TSC, but I’m pretty sure she is not a a sapphire gem. I’ve wondered if she is a black sex link, or maybe just a mix? I love her coloring but I wonder what color egg she’ll lay, also? She had faint dark black stripes as a chick and some white on her chest. Any ideas?

Idk probably just a mixed breed. Maybe some type of Easter egger

She's a blue sex link, just a different kind than SGs. Sometimes that kind is called Rhode Island blue.

Ah thank you! I didn’t know there was such a thing. It’s funny how much they change in color seemingly overnight.

Sounds like you ran into the same thing that I did. I bought what was supposed to have been Sapphire Gems, & this is what I got. I love them regardless, I'm just saying that I didn't get what they were advertising.

The more I look at her the more I’m like goodness that is a beautiful chicken. I love the lacing on her. Curious what she looked like as a chick?

She was actually kind of a cream & brown. Who would have thought that she'd turn out to be this color... LOL. I'll see if I can find a picture of her from when I first got her.
