Should I start watching my chickens?

So we have 4 Rhode island reds. They are about a week shy of 4 months old. I've read where these start laying between 4-5 months. Is that timing right? Are there things I need to look for such as behavioral and such? Any advice is appreciated!

Sometime when they are going to start lay their combs and wattles get really red or more fresh looking.

Well they don't really have much for combs and wattles right now. I'm presuming still going to be a while?

Yeh just the one looks ready. All the others look like they might be a while. But with larger breeds, they might be 7-8 months.
