I have a 12-day old chick who is lethargic and weak. She was just fine yesterday but today she seems to have changed. She has little to no appetite (she hasn't eaten since yesterday, as far as I know), and the only time she's drank anything to my knowledge was when I tipped her beak into her waterer and she drank a little. Her wings are a little droopy and she holds her head close to her body. Do you have any idea what this could be? It's a little alarming as she was as fine as ever yesterday.
One more observation: earlier today I noticed her trying to relieve herself (at least, that's what it looked like...she could have been stretching, but it looked different), and nothing came out. Do you think she may have something lodged in her system?
If you have any solid leanings, please suggest treatment. She could very well pass soon if I don't treat her. Do you think I should separate her from my other chicks?
