That is why I usually don't put boxes in with them. I have a pile of 10 in one corner of a stall as we speak! lol

I was told its two different standards, my understanding Gray standard doesn't call for any penciling like partridge does. BUT most birds called Gray out there look Silver partridge with the penciling (Just like a Gold partridge just silver instead of gold)
The name Partridge comes from the ground-color eb/eb (= Asiatic Partridge) from the E-locus which have also the original gene e+/e+ (= Bankiva Partridge), eWh/eWh (= Wheaten), ER/ER (= Birchen) and E/E (= Extended Black), all these ground-coloration are based on gold (s+) or on Silver (S).
