Silkies - They’re simply SPECTACULAR!

This was the old Silkie rooster that came with the farm I purchased last year. He was so docile and pretty, although scared of people. Even though I only owned him for a few months, I got attached quickly. He was killed by an unknown predator last summer. I found him in the chicken yard with no head.... Heartbreaking... I only saw him try to breed once or twice so I think he was pretty old and probably not very fertile anymore.

Kids. Love. Silkies! My daughters loved our Silkies, even the rooster was a sweetie pie (although he couldn't figure out how to mate with the standard breed ladies). As long as children know how to handle them gently, your Silkies will be pampered like no other pet.
