I have a couple of Spitzen-Eggers in the incubator. I hope they hatch! It would be cool to have a crested Easter Egger that laid green eggs, like her mama! Daddy is Hans, mommy is Blue Girl. View attachment 551110

Did they hatch yet? I am planning to set some later this week.

No, I had trouble with the incubator. The manufacturer just sent me a new thermostat and heater assembly. I do have one in a new little incubator that I bought, just one, and that is a Spitzen-Egger egg. I will let you know if it hatches.

I like your name "Spitzen-egger".
Last summer we bred "Easter-Orps." (Basically they looked like giant black EEs with muffs.) Often EEs can get picked on, but not these EEs!

This year we're using a Cream Crested Legbar x Orp combo to make our Easter Eggers. (They're sexlinks so we know gender at hatch.) I wonder if they'll grow crests.
