I would be so delighted of Markie is a girl! I have thought roo since the beginning, but I would really love to be wrong. Acts like aroo and for now, looks more like a girl.

No, I had trouble with the incubator. The manufacturer just sent me a new thermostat and heater assembly. I do have one in a new little incubator that I bought, just one, and that is a Spitzen-Egger egg. I will let you know if it hatches.

Oh that's too bad. When is it due to to hatch? I have two eggs collected so far. Hormones are also kicking in with my EE and Marans roosters so there's no telling what I'll end up with but any would be good

The Spitzen-egger is due to hatch on the 18th. Markie hatched on May 3rd, so 5 weeks. I am the worst at being able to tell by looks with this breed until it is pretty obvious.
