What's the point of that? It sounds pointless. 

How ? I'm not saying he hunts just to kill. He genuinely enjoys it and does it for the meat, and also it helps with keeping the herds smaller. Why is that pointless ?

s not.... dpwn here we have to many deers, and are having a hard time keeping them down... also the meatis yummy and healthier! I

Mmmhmm I agree. Yummy meat and wayyy to many deer around here too. I like how the meat comes from a happy animal.

I don't hunt. I don't fish. I don't eat MY chickens. I have a mild allergy to egg whites, so I only use them in baking. I'm just too much of a chicken to kill anything. But cooking all that stuff you guys and gals hunt and catch is a whole different ball game. I just got some elk meat from a friend and I can't wait to cook it next weekend. My ex lived and breathed to hunt and fish. I not only miss my freezer full, I miss hanging around camp playing cook. Oh, what I wouldn't do for a cozy campfire by a nice creek with a pot of beans, baked potatoes, skillet biscuits and some nice fresh trout... Almost forgot the book, beer and 'smores! Drool.

MS alone has one million + deers... is that small for you? To many dears destroy crops, and can past things to cattle and goats.
