My friend is a farmer,,, well hobby farmer anyways. And he shoots to keep the herds small AND for the meat.See if your a farmer that makes perfect sense. But if your just a random person looking to shoot deer and bury them that is a waste.
Might not be by a stream but I have a large, private piece of property. I can, however, get us right on the river, if you're willing to camp?I don't hunt. I don't fish. I don't eat MY chickens. I have a mild allergy to egg whites, so I only use them in baking. I'm just too much of a chicken to kill anything. But cooking all that stuff you guys and gals hunt and catch is a whole different ball game. I just got some elk meat from a friend and I can't wait to cook it next weekend. My ex lived and breathed to hunt and fish. I not only miss my freezer full, I miss hanging around camp playing cook. Oh, what I wouldn't do for a cozy campfire by a nice creek with a pot of beans, baked potatoes, skillet biscuits and some nice fresh trout... Almost forgot the book, beer and 'smores! Drool.

Well I think keeping the herds small is hunting for the wrong reason but whatever.
um.. were dah heck did you get that idea? We hunt for meat and know many other people that do to... what is a waste is TROPHY hunting, be it for the horns or what... they don't use the meat.See if your a farmer that makes perfect sense.
