Stewing Hens if anyone wants 'em

Hey all - we've had to cull four hens from our flock this week - egg eaters! Three are nice heavy one year old and change hens - two partridge rocks and one Black Australorp - for 4 bucks each they're yours! They're still laying well too, so if you have a way to break them of the habit.... We're in Manalapan, NJ 07726

if you want to give them a second shot, i've heard that blowing the innards out of an egg (hole in each end), and then refilling it with hot sauce will fix egg eaters...

Refilling the eggshells with mustard is another idea...I don't think avian taste receptors are as sensitive to the capsaicin in hot peppers as mammalian receptors are.
