Swollen foot and turning black need advice fast

I have an Americana chicken with a swollen foot. It has spreed to her other foot and the swollen part has gotten more black. I’m wondering what I should do about this

Have you tried soaking it and seeing if it'll wash off?

Looks like some bumblefoot, start soaking it on Epson salts.

Looks like bumblefoot. Soak the feet in warm soapy water or Epsom salts for about 15 minutes a day to soften and clean the scab. Some use a paste made with Betadine and sugar, and then apply that to the scab for a couple of days with a dressing. Here are 2 good threads about methods of treatment:

I don’t have Epson salt so can I use table salt or baking soda?

So when I soak it and see the scab, what do i do. I looked at some websites and it said to spray hydrogen proixide then use a bandage. Won’t they eat the bandage and using spraying stuff seems odd so can I please get some clarification.

I would not use peroxide since it can prevents wounds from healing. Use plain Neosporin or triple antibiotic ointment and a gauze 2x2 pad folded in half twice. Use vet wrap 1 inch strips or cohesive tape to wrap the foot. In the link I provided

they show the pink bandage on the foot, and if done properly will not come off.

Ok thanks, also when I see the black scab thing, am I cutting it out or should I just pick it off then apply the stuff the wrap
