(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
3yrs ago we Bought our first home, that whole time (and before) I have been trying to convince my Hubby to get some Chicks but he's been stern about not getting Backyard chickens.. but I finally wore home down and now he secretly loves/thinks they are cute.. so September 2018 was the first time I bought home some baby chicks!

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I definitely have gone crazy with love for my "Girls" and now somehow we have a brood of 14...

(3) What breeds do you have?
I love my heritage breeds, so we have..
2x Plymouth Rock Chicken = Dottie and Poker
2x ISA Brown = Honey and Comb
2x Wyandotte Chicken Goldenlaced = NewPeep and Cheep
Blue/silver? Laced= Bluey and Lacey
2x Australorp Blue and Blackh = Shotgun and Butter
Easter Eggers= April, Eggy, Bunny
I know the EEs are mutts but I just love them too
4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
So far it's learning the personality of them all plus our Compost and garden love having the straw that "Girls" have used
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Love spending time with my 11yr/9yr old boys.
Love my crafts and yarn work. Love to create anything. cooking and baking is a great relaxer for me too.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have major health issues and are in bed or home bound slot so having my special pets are very important to me.
We also have 1dog (MoodlexHusky) and 1rescue cat. And 1 secure chook cage.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D
I have searched the internet and Google recommend your site, I have found out many interesting facts.

Hi and welcome to our community and congrats on working on hubby to agree :highfive: You have a great looking flock.

On this link you'll find lots of information on almost every aspect of keeping birds - from coop building ideas, to incubating eggs - https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/

Each week, various topics are discussed, which can be a great resource - https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/topic-of-the-week-thread-archives . Ditto the Learning Centre - https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/

This is a useful link of BYC guides to take a look at announcements-feedback-issues-guides.3 I’d suggest including your location using the guide in that link. You can use this link to contact members in your area - Find your State's thread.

Best wishes
