we have a silkie and a americana that are slightly older than the rest of our chicks, and they hate being held, especially picked up. how do we win them over? they freak out so much when you try to pick them up. the rest of our chicks are also like that, but a lot less scared. how should we win them over so they aren’t scared of our hands and being held?
edit: this is a pic of the americana

Don't make sudden movements when you come to the brooder. Don't chase them with your hands, instead lay your hand in the brooder. Eventually curiosity will win them over. Scoop them up gently when they're close enough to your hand. Make sure to hold them as often as possible so that they get used to it.
