The age old question… what sex is my silkie?

My two silkies are joined at the hip. The darker one grew streamers as a chick and was confident and assertive… then we put them in the coop and he did a gender bender and lost his streamers, had more of a “bowl” crest and suddenly became much more reserved…
We were unconvinced about the white one - was always less dominant until now he kinda wears the pants. The darker one has always been bigger. We were thinking we had 2 Roos.
Now they’re 4 months old - no eggs or crows but occasionally the darker one clucks pretty loudly..
What are you thoughts?
