You're welcome and thanks, so far it's a wonderful day!

Thanks! I just kind of started it one week, just called it "Photo Friday", and it really caught on. It's really fun!

We do it in the NY thread and the VT thread. I haven't started a specific thread for it, although perhaps tomorrow I will in the Pictures and Stories section. It really is fun, and people always love to show off their birds! If I do start it I'll post the link in here so you all can come flood it with pictures, lol.

Oi, no kidding about the HOA thing...this is my first home, and I regret every day that there's an HOA. The people that run those things are pretty much just failed politicians, only they're just as corrupt and power-hungry!

Maybe you could invest in some land instead? If you're willing to put the time and energy into it, you could build your own home. That's my ultimate goal, to buy a lovely plot and build a lovely little adobe cottage on it!

I'd *love* to do that, but we can't afford the down payment on a construction loan. We bought our current house in 2008, so we'll be extremely lucky to be able to sell it for what we owe on it. Buh bye down payment. :|

It'll be a while yet anyway, we just missed the house I really wanted. I guess that gives us a bit longer to look, though!

I hope you find something that's perfect for you & the family including all pets! Please keep in mind that some HOAs even tell you how many indoor pets (dogs, cats, etc.) you can keep. Good luck with the search.

My HOA doesnt have rules against animals, but we have 10 acre wooded lots. MI where we live has right to farm & state law trumps county / township /city rules. But I am pretty far from you. Keep looking! The perfect place will pop up.
