Look at this Leghorn I found at a fair I judged. It looks golden ish. There was another like it. Is it gold with a dilute gene? Silver with two copies autosomal red? Who knows…

What kind? We had a bullsnake last year do that and this year he took out 2 silkie pullet chicks before we ended him

I hate finding those in the nest box. My goal is to have pens that are fully hardware cloth, so that doesn't happen.

I'm really glad the only snakes we have around here are garters and milks. Occassional rare sighting of a ringneck.

Same!! Only snake I have ever found in my runs is the sharp-tailed snakes that are the size of earthworms! Others in the Valley are garters and rattlesnakes...but grateful I don't live in an area they are common.
