We had a 100 gallon rubbermade horse trough at work that got a small crack in the bottom. Boss bought the spay kind and paint on kind. Neither worked on it.Yeah…No. That s*** doesn’t work either.
What did you end up using to fix it or did you yet?We had a 100 gallon rubbermade horse trough at work that got a small crack in the bottom. Boss bought the spay kind and paint on kind. Neither worked on it.
It's now one of my chick brooders.
You can probably fix the leak(s) with a heavy duty marine epoxy. Just need to let it dry for a day or so.Na I didn't fix it. It's just a small crack in the bottom. Wood chips cover it so no big deal.
But why? Chicks don't need a brooder that'll hold water. You can probably fix the leak(s) with a heavy duty marine epoxy. Just need to let it dry for a day or so.
The cap and O-rings are much easier to replace than a crack or holes are in any tank…I've actually gotten 2 from work so far. The other one had the threaded in plug and he wanted to swap it for a drain value thingy. It was metal and someone cross threaded it and kept cranking on it so much that once they figured it out the threads were wasted and it leaked cross threaded or threaded right so I got that one too.
…I thought you got them to put ‘em to actual use, not just to hatch more chicks. But why? Chicks don't need a brooder that'll hold water.
Now if I ever switch to strictly ducks....
