I have made this thread specifically to show off your lofts, aviaries, and other setups for the pigeons and doves of BYC.
The chickens have their stunning and elaborate coops flaunted, so why can't we do the same?

It's simple...

Here’s my quaint little aviary. I plan to paint it and spruce it up, so these are the before pictures. (It’s usually a lot brighter inside, it’s just an overcast day)

Here's my lofts. Not near as impressive as yours @DotTheHen !

My 6×8 breeder loft. Built in 2017 with 100% pallets (talk about a new hobby! Taking apart pallets all winter... Oh well, when you cant afford it you got to build it.)

We found the windows in a dumpster, and I can remove them for the summer. Found the shingles for two bucks a pack on Craigslist. Whole thing was built for about $200 dollars.

My 5×3 kit box built out of pallets in 2018. Built four less than $40.

My 8×8 flyer loft for homers: free chicken coop on Craigslist. Tow truck dropped it on the cinder blocks. Just had to clean it out and add pigeon stuff. got it in 2019.

Plastic is added for the winter.

@DotTheHen Nice aviary! Yours must be new, because I see they haven’t pooped all over the walls yet

Mine is pretty similar. 4x8x6 built against a shed as a windbreak. Maybe one day the whole shed can be the loft. This is my flock of four, two parents and their son and daughter.

Thank you! Yes it’s new... I try to scrape as much poop off the perches as I can whenever it builds up, so we shall see how long that lasts. Your aviary is beautiful! I love how open it is! I wish mine were a bit wider, but space was limited :’) Also, your little pigeon family is precious!
