The Brahma and Polish youngsters enjoying some morning sun. They've been doing well with their freedom. They come out about an hour after the adults and I feed them breakfast in that time. No fighting so far, just a couple of "get out of my way" pecks. The Polish in particular comes running to me everytime it sees me. Doesn't seem to mind being handled for short periods of time. I need to trim her crest though, it's already pretty long.

I got some eggs!
@cra8ychix was nice enough to collect me some of her LF Silkie eggs. Yesterday her and her DH came over and hung out for a little bit and brought me the eggs. Out of 9 eggs I've got a pretty good chance of finally getting a broody or two.

We had a good time visiting and seeing all the birds and ducks. I got a education re ducks which was nice. Being I knew about them One day I will own some @ Trimurtisan has some beautiful
ones.

Lol, @cra8ychix had head Pearl (guinea) over the phone before. Yesterday she got a first hand experience of what the squawking is actually like.

Yes she was Gorgeous too although very noisy LOL

It was a photo shoot sneak attack! She was being cute and snuggly, so I grabbed the camera. She was still cute, then I blew her a kiss, and SNAP!. She got my snout!

The dogs got a coconut oil and sugar rub last night. The maintenance of a hairless dog is easier than a coated dog in my opinion. It's cheaper as there no need for a groomer. You do need to be proactively protective though. They get 2-3 baths followed by a bagbalm rub a month. Lotion 1-2 times a week. Sun block if we're are going to be hanging out outside. They both have "winter" clothing for when it's cold. They don't have the protection a fur coat offers, so you pretty much need to pamper them. That includes the occasional sugar scrub too. If your going to own an animal that needs pampering, you might as well enjoy it.

She's a little spitfire at times.

We did end up doing a fire with marshmallows last night. Most of what was burned was collected from the yard after the recent storm. Most of it was very dry and burned fast. I tossed a bunch of tender on top to give it some extra theatrics for Xaiden.
