I just brought one hone today! It's 5 months old and though never handled like my birds the pullet is so tame!! I am starting to really like these sultan birds...hoping to have her lay some fertile eggs and I might get some sultan mix chicks

JP if I had to guess I would say girl. I don't see any red in her face, which is a good sign. wait a couple of weeks to make sure. I have 2 Sultan Roos that are a year old, they are wonderful, sweet, calm and beautiful, at least I think they are. They are my husbands favorite, I have had such a hard time finding LF Sultans I finally gave up and ordered some from Cackle. I'm trying to find more from breeders so I can focus on breeding them. Sorry, I don't know either about hatching eggs. Even I'd be possibly interested in some. My sultan passed away after getting cocci.

I should have some Sultan eggs available in mid to late spring of 2012. Right now, none of my sultans are laying. Most years the ladies stop around the end of September to the middle of October and don't start up again until around the end of January.
