My pekin and runner ducks absolutely love peas! It's their favorite treat. In fact, my pekin gets ****** when he's done with his little bowl and he throws his bowl then bites my pant leg. He's not a mean/violent duck and is actually quite sweet and loving with me, except when he runs out of peas! (And if I shake my finger and tell him no, he will stop rushing me.)

Welcome to BYC. they can get excited about their peas can't they. My Muscovy drake comes and pulls on my pants leg if I'm not getting their peas in the bowl fast enough he also likes to eat out of the bowl before anyone else.

they can and they should. my muscovies sometimes eat long grass and then run to eat some grits. I put it in a bowl with some water.

Grits are just basically cornmeal, so it should be fine. They'd probably like it.

I was talking about little stones, not cornmeal. I do feed my muscovies whole grain: corn, barley and wheat.
