Flock together" BUT they didn't say they had to be the same breed/type.
This is Blue, my splash Ameraucana Cockeral/Roo.
He started jumping the chook fence early on in his life & hang'n out with my Muscovy ducks and has designated himself the "Muscovies Rooster." He has the same coloring as my blue Scovies so I guess he feels comfortable around them. He hangs out with the ducks most of the day and watches out for them & they listen carefully and run for cover with any alarm call he might make. He spends a bit of time jumping the chook fence on and off during the day to catch a chookie girl who might take his fancy
while staying out of the way of our #1 and #2 Roos. About half an hour before I close up the coop, Blue heads on in to the shed to spend the night with his lady love, the very pretty blue Ameraucana girl, Bell.
We hope to have Blue take over for our current #1 EE Roo soon & hope with the coming of winter(snow/cold) that he will STAY in with the Chooks and stop his free ranging ways with the Scovies.
This last pic isn't the clearest.... but I just had to add it!
