I got 6 chicks on April 9th from TS who told me three were a few days older (2 isa brown and 1 golden comet) than the new ones just delivered that day (2 Olive Eggers and one RIR). They guaranteed that they were all girls and i went home happy!

Fast forward to them being about 6 weeks old, im starting to think that RIR may be a boy. It may be because it reminds me of the Roadrunner (meep-meep!) but i thought it would be a good idea to get them looked over for sex and "breed". You all were wonderful (And 100% accurate!!) with my first batch in 2016.

Hope they are old enough.

I can not tell the 3 Isa/Comet olders apart and feel like they are girls anyway so the pics may not be great. I do notice that 1 of the Isa/Comet trio has white specks at the neck and the other 2 are all brown.

First is the RIR, then the Olive egger with the black top and the olive egger with the gold top then the isa/comets... Thanks so much, as usual, for any info... I have learned so much and enjoy reading everything. (i just found @rosemarythyme brooder journal, LOVE!)

Not familiar with RIRs but nothing says boy about any of them yet.

Hope my brood-along was able to give you some tips and tricks for use with your flock!
I completely enjoyed the tips and tricks but you left me wanting for much more space (and chickens!). Integrating them with the 2 olders was not as smooth as yours but i dont have the space for separate yards. For now they sleep together in the coop, but the littles are too afraid to follow the big girls up at night or out in the morning. Every integration is so different with number of birds, temperament, space....but your brood along helps with the things we can control, so thanks!
